Probably because its over in Sweden or something.. I heard over there they had to call it the rx because someone had rights to the name Apex. And thats def a Apex not a RX 1jmp2204 said:

Def an Apex - you can tell by the windshield - looks like the Mach got it on the second pass, but very close - what distance would you guys say that is - 1000' - 1320'? - I figured that sled was going to hold it own - keep in mind, the Mach's in stock form don't come on until about 1000' - still very impressive!

You can definitely see the seat stripe and the low chrome windshield if you stop the vid at the right spot. Plus you can tell clearly in the video beating the warrior. Looks pretty even on the second pass. I'd love hear a video with just the Apex.

I actually couldn't see the details of the sled at all because the video was really dark on my screen. I was just going by the name, rx vs. mach z sorry guys.

They are still calling the new Apex an RX1 somewhere, has anyone seen the cover of Sno Goer magazine lately. There is a picture of the new Apex but if you look closely at the decal on the hood it clearly says RX1. So either they are still refering to the new sled as an RX1 in some countries or it was just a prototype photo and they hadn't changed the name to apex yet.

They held a test ride for the new RX somewhere in Sweden. The news what I heard for it was :
They rode it against Mach Z , ZR 900 and the Fusion. RX ( Apex ) beat all of but was a tie at the end with the Mach. I´m not sure about the distance, but it was a loong stretch. All out for every sled. So it seems that apex has a good engine and high speed.

I stopped th video on both runs. The Apex beat it by a few sled lengths on the first run and it beat it by a nose on the second run. They had a Mach Z out dragging here a couple weeks ago. It beat everything going. It goes to show how fast the Apex is.

some still pics. ski-doo'ers seem really obsessed at dootalk over the video.
I think the Apex will be a great sled. if it even stays with the 2-stroke screamers for 400 ft. that is a big acomplishment for the "heavy four strokes".
there are soooo many advantages for the 4-stroke, yamaha finally made one that i like enough to trow down the $$$$.
1st pis is Apex against a Warrior in a short run, and then turning around(to see the apex from the side better).
2nd set is apex vs machz(Apex a little ahead)
3 pic is apex vs machz (mach won)

Gentlemen, my understanding is that it was shot here in the states, not to far from me, and the machines ran three different times. Twice the Apex won, once was a tie. The Apex went from Crate to the snow, the Mach Z was clutched.
So, if any of you took the Ty ride at the snodeo up here, then you heard the rep say you ain't seen nogthing yet? You had better believe it.
EFI reprogram+ a true broken in motoer will equal even greater power and perfromance.
The days of Yamaha still being "out of the box" king never went away.
The phrase RX one ton, well, as with any phrase, it's now so last year
