Where is a good place to get some studs? I want to replace my 196 and was hoping to find some for under $2 ea. I also have a friend that would like some as well, any vendors do a group buy or anything? Thanks

Not real picky on brand unless someone convinces me otherwise. I want 1.087 or 1.187, its for a 02 viper. I need 196 and a friend of mine will need 1.087 and probably 144. I woudl prefer something that doesn't rust, but its not the biggest deal, they seem like 60% more and they aren't worth that to me. Thanks

Bright Powersports in Lincoln Park MI had some Woodys 1in for 3 for 1 with nuts. They had listed on ebay and had alot of them. There number is 1-313-382-1220

yea shade tree does run some great deals in summer when nobody is thinking about snowmobiling, except for me and the other diehards of course... ;)!

Kinger......What size lug you got on the 02 Viper? Be carefull you so not run a higher stud..... I did and it bent alot of them. I know with the .92 Yoko Track Woodys recommends the 1.00 stud. Just a thought.

try select one sales if he is still around. Online, don't have the direct address off hand. He sells sabers and I have had really good luck with them.

Here are some examples. Woodys Gold Diggers 1.00", $1.60 ea. Fast Trac Top Gun Carbide ll 1.175 or 1.075, $1.70 ea. Fast Trac Triple X stainless, 1.075 or 1.175", $1.05 ea. All include nyloc nuts. Have more types if interested and backers as well. Thanks.

I just bought a ripsaw for my SRX. Is it wise to pick a ripsaw track on an SRX? will the studs bend or add too much weight? And what pattern is recommend for the different riding styles? I thought about selling this track and going with the 9830 picked to save some clearance, stud length and possibly some weight?
Any help is appreciated!

i ran 144 stainless studs down the middle in my ripsaw this year and bent a few. other than that it was great. they might not have bent with steel studs, but i would rather the stud give than tear the track. you will need to run 8 tooth drivers with a studded ripsaw. if you ride in loose deeper snow then go with the 1.25" if you trail ride on packed snow and do lake runs, go with the 1" 9830. either one is 10x better than stock.

I am pleased with my sabers. Ran them all season, no bends, all still sharp. And I do not baby mine. Off trail with them alot, lots of road crossings etc., they are abused. I only paid $1 (U.S. funds) for them, including nuts and backers. Great product for the price I paid. But I have never ran any other brand so I can not comare them to woody's or any other brand.

I have had good luck with the sabers. I ran my 02 viper 7200 miles with a set of sabers, the first one ripped out at 7200 miles. I probably broke or bent 3-4 over that time. The alum backers with the ridges work great. I just checked my wifes, she has 4000 miles on hers with Sabers and two broke, the rest look perfect. Those are the steel, I think I ran SS on mine. I like the steel better, the SS wear around the carbide and the tip breaks out eventually.
