I need info on making my viper's suspension smooth. I have the shock update from Yamaha. The shocks are set the stock settings. So far I understand that I should to crank the center spring as far as it can go. I understand I have should have the control rod gaps set at 75/25. I also understand I should set the full range adjuster to the center postion. What adjustments can I make to the front suspension ? Should I adjust the limiter straps at all ? Any other adjustments I should make. I want to drive the Viper another year and get a 2007 Apex after the bugs are worked out. So I need to make this thing ride better for one more year of riding. ;)!

set the limiters as long as possible (as loose as possible) while maintaining adequate ski pressure. The longer you let the straps out, the more front arm travel there is (good) but the less ski pressure there is if you go too far (not so good). Usually around 10-15mm of thread showing works nice. As for the front suspension, the only adjustment without revalving the shocks is to adjust the spring preload, and that also affects your ski pressure quite a bit.
