Can someone tell me if all snoscoot's came with electric start ? I bought one last year and never took the hood off until this weekend, and there is a battery with a solinoid but no starter. Can I add a starter to this thing ?
if so, does anybody know where I can find a good used one !
Thanks for any replies.

My friend up at the lake has 3 snoscoots and all of them have ES, mine has everything his has except for the starter and the wire that goes to the solinoid. I know some of them have ES and was just wondering if ALL of them were suppose to have it. Mine is a 1988 and looks like it is just missing the starter.

The sno-scoots came both ways. you could get one with electric start or one without. I have had both. currently have an electric start version.

Probably going to be hard to find a used starter. Yamaha should be abel to get you a new one. If ya need a battery for it let me know, I have a new unfilled original equipment for 20.00 or I can dial you in for free another way.

Thanks Tod, I have a battery already in it and it's fully charged, just no starter. The dealer wants $350.00 for a new starter, I doubt I am going to put that much into this thing. My 10 year old daughter can just keep kick starting it for that much, allthough it would be nice to have for her.

Yes, they start pretty easy with the kick start. My son is ten now and he has been kick starting it for several years now. I think we put a battery in it last year but usually dont.
