Where have you guys found to be the best place to hookup your heated shield on the vipers?

is it a er or standard viper? if it is the er hook to battery. if it the stanard you can tap or splice in any where you have power. i hook mine to the hand wamers. mainly cause it was easy. just make sure you test it when done you should have power only in the inside of the plug when you have it hooked up

Done, Here is a quick way about 20 min. You need 2 20-24guage pre solder shrink connectors, and a lighter. Pull the pad off bar, locate the BLU/W wire off the hi/lo switch for lights this is your hot. Cut a 3/16 section of insulation out, bend it in half, shove this section along with the hot wire from the shield into the connector to the solder. Heat with lighter till tube shrinks down against wires, let cool and you are soldered and wires are sealed all in one step. The ground goes to the BLK wire off the thumb warmer, same process. To give you a little more movement with the wires unhook the harness's for the dimmer switch and thumb warmer, stick the tip of a small bladed knife into the connection end pushing down on the little white tab and the wire will pull out the back of connector.
