I listened to a radio interview last night with a guy at the Mt Washington, NH weather station. Mt Washington is the highest point in the east at 6000 plus ft. The temp was -35 F with a wind chill of -85. This was at 4 in the afternoon. This guy said that earlier in the day they took out a bucket of water and threw it in the air. The water instantly crystalized and blew away with the wind. They expected the temps to fall to -45 to -50 by the end of the night.
