I just got a set of 8bu00's and need to install the yamaha rivits but have never put rivits in yamaha weights before. How do you get them to stay in? Thanks
I use a hydraulic press But beating the crap outa them with a hammer works.
I use my bench vise and squeeze them. Becareful, those weights will break if you beat on them too much.
I used the big hammer method. It took a while with the 4.5 gram rivets - but it works fine.

I have a friend with a press. I think I will do it that way.

right on about those 4.5g rivets, those things are monsters to get peened over, lol

I had a local machinist make me one of those weight holding tools. Plans are in the tech pages, If I remmember correctly he only charged me about $20. Anyway it works great! Holds the weight secure so you can beat the rivits in and out, without fear of harming the weight.

Under what in the tech pages?
Its more likely you will damage the weight taking a rivet out than putting one in.

I looked under the tech pages and didn't see anything on the weight tool?
