I have a chance to buy a MM tunnel with a small crack in the side, does it basically mean the tunnel is ruined
No, it probably can be tig welded, but you'll always have a weld seam showing.

Why would you buy a tunnel with a crack in it? Is it an aftermarket? What kind of tunnel are you looking for. All the OEM's are the same.....MM's just have an extension.

There is a difference between short and long skids from 2000 and up. Suspension mounting holes are different as well as reinforcement brkts.
