Hey guys, I think my belt is slipping on take off, I can smell it burning at times and she's over reving, It was recomended to me to get a 89L belt instead of the 8DN I have, would this help it slip less? would it affect the clutching or gearing at all? I seen the specs are a little difference in thickness and length, what about engine clutch alignments? is it still the same??

The 89L is a softer belt and will require less force in the primary. More than likely you will have to adjust the clutching, unless it was over-revving.

actually it was/is overrevving a little, right through also. I think I will go for it, thanks.
