Need a good shop for a tune up (near Chicago).

I need some suggestions for a place to take my 03 Viper ER. I live in Chicago and will travel for the right place. My sled has 2200 miles after 2 years and runs great but I want to get it set up by someone who knows how to get the most out of a stock Yamaha. I think the jetting was set up on the safe side(rich) and I dont know how much the original dealer did when they put it together. Any suggestions are appreciated as I want to keep my Viper for a few more seasons and I don't want to screw it up trying to tune it myself. Thanks in advance.
 

I don't know were you bought your sled but for something I could not fix I would go to Neilsons in lake vila (83 & 120 I think) or there is Hilands in the west subs of Chicago. If you are looking for some one person in the area I do not know of any one person, I would think you would get the best advice from this site.
 
I painted all of the buildings at Nielsen's two years ago. Ted is definately a tough guy to work for, lol

I would agree to that, He did give me a great deal on my sled though. :WayCool:
 
I've never bought anything from him but i know he has some of the best prices around. They move a lot of volume through there, which allows them to really slash prices.
 
If your in chicago, go to highlands yamaha in countryside.

Allow yourself a few extra minutes to get caught by the freight trains at 47th and East Avenue though! :o|

Seriously, nice people over at Highlands, and it's like Yamaha heaven.
 
man i would never want to live in the city like that. Too many headaches, rather be a simple country boy ;)!
 
Highlands id the place to go.
I drive from Lake Co. to get there. I could drive 15mins to get ripped off by Nielsons or drive a hour to get to Highlands.
Oh i just ordered my 06 ATTAK from HIghlands :WayCool:
