My riding partner is interested in installing triple pipes on his sxr600 which currently has a aggressive trail clutch kit developed for stock sled. I would like to hear others recommedations, experiences and opions with pipes such as CPR, Hauck's, PSI, SLP, Bender's etc, etc. As this is a 600 and most pipes seem to have been developed for 700 any problems running them on a 600?

What was performance like?, broad power band or peaky?, ease of tuning?, what modified rpm range? Completeness of after sales service regarding, carb tuning, clutch tuning, Does the manufacture only offer clutch kits, or willing to recommend base line clutch components to start given and existing clutch.

Any feedback would be appreciated, to make an informed judgement call. As we are located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.Canadian ditribution is advantagious.

Thanks

Call Simon's CPR 1-414-698-6611. He designed a set just for the 600 tripple that puts out 122-124 hp @ 8900 rpms. He also has distribiters in Canada.

I live west of the city near Pembroke I have a 2001 sxr 600 with all the possible bolt on goodies if interested in my set up give me an email and we will get in touch by phone or I will take time to return by email , my typing skills are the old one finger method and there is too much info for me to type in a few minutes.

Pipes

I have the same sled and really like SLP pipes. I have done many mods and have not had any problems 5,000 miles. I would recommend installing clutch kit, reed spacers and tempa flow to improve performance. The tech page has all the information you need to complete these mods. You will keep up with the stock 700's. Good luck!!
