how do i totally remove the transfer rods from the top? i dont really see how the carrier wheels come off. someone point out the stupid thing i am overlooking. thanks
The carriers are a snug fit on the shaft. Nothing but fiction holds them on. Use a brass drift and tap on the center of the shaft on one side...it will slide through the tube and the wheel will slide off.

It is definately a good tight fit on those. Take a little pounding to get them off. Just make SURE you don't mushroom the end of the shaft, it is softer than you would think.

if you put a bolt in and pound on that make sure you go all the way down until it bottoms out so that you don't destroy the threads in the shaft

Yeap BFH, just be sure to have the bolt down tight to the shaft or you will take the threads out. You have to be mad at it and hit it like you mean it. It will come. Maxdlx
