4 stroke non belivers read here

don't believe all that you read...

I haven't heard of any 120genesis failures, I know of a few genesis150 failures tho.

still only a couple out of thousands of sleds sold, no doubt the ratio is alot better, but you need to be carefull with advertising like that, they (and most other company's) have a way of saying only the most impressive stuff and being ambiguos with the wording, tryin to confuse you into thinking it's better than it is.

sorry to be a cynic, but I have a family member that does that stuff for a living, so I've gotten pretty sick of all of it.

i would believe it. Yamaha engines are the most reliable out there.

they sure are, but 100% reliable is a bold claim

lol, ok ok guys, they're great motors, no debate there, just saying read the fine print.

i'm with you junior. some are too quick to jump at what they see before investigating. i'm a yamaha man myself no doubt, but they aren't 100% anything. love em to death, but everyones got their quirks.

Junior what are the failures you have seen? Connecting rods, crank, valve train? Stock or modded up? I haven't heard much of anything about failures on these myself, but i haven't been plugged in with them that much either.

I've heard of a couple RX motors going down but not a Vector motor. They are saying that Yamaha Canada has not had 1 claim (internal) melt down as of April 12. What they didn't say was how many units were sold? So I can believe there claim as of now but that can change. I don't have any reason not to believe it....anyone else?

I heard of one vector motor go.This couple had two of them well the wife went out to start her sled and forgot about it running it ran a real long time and overheated.

conrods, and cranks, I think the conrod was a matter of the journal not having been properly torqued and it walked around to much, snapped and punched a hole out of the block.

again, I love yamaha, they are an awesome company and have the most reliable motors forsure, I just think that claiming no failures is a really bold claim
