Not sure if anyone here is looking at this SRX 600 motor on ebay, but if you are be careful. It says it's never been rebuilt, but it has definitely been apart since the heads are on backwards and there are a few bolts missing out of the coil bracket on the carb flange boots. Just thought I'd throw this out there before anyone gets burned.

i noticed that the first day that he had that thing listed (it is on there for the second time now). I "asked the seller a question" and asked him how if it has never been apart that the heads would be on there backwards. Of course he didn't reply. ;):D

Looks like the cylinders have been bead blasted and the heads repainted. The rusty bolts dont match the rest of the condition. Scam! ===SRXSRULE===

Look at the heads, if you look on the intake side the water manifold inlet should be on that side of the head, but you can see they are pointing towards the exhaust instead, heads are on backwards.

ebay really should turn the notch up on the security. They should be warned more often.
They've got a hard enough time dealing with the scammers trying sell sleds out of Rome, Italy to be shipped by UPS after you send them money by Western Union.

Wow! good heads up on that, someone is gonna get burned on that burn down!

i emailed the seller and asked him if it hasn't been apart then why would the heads be on backwards. Of course he didn't reply. :Moon:

I have bought over 200 items on E-bay and only been burnt 1 time....Lesson learned ! When buying anything expensive check the Feedback of seller, contact him via email and ask for his phone # (there is no better way of telling if the guys for real or a joke then talking with him plus, who wants a telephone call at 2:00 am because you just ripped someone off ? ! ?) then keep his Full Name, Address, E-mail and phone # until you recieve the goods ! ! !

He emailed me back today. He said the motor wasn't in a yamaha chassis, so he had to take the heads off and spin them to get clearance for the water rail. That kind of info should be told in the description, if it is true.

That seller is full of it right there. I e-mailed all of the bidders and warned them. One guy couldn't stop thanking me.

That motor sounds like the one nystateboySRX bought last winter. I think he made out ok with it but this one sounds fishy.
