having problems with hand and thumb warmers on my 2001 srx
the left hand warmer works a bit but not hot, the right one bearly works luke warn and the thumb doesn't work at all. Just had first ride of season and thats how they were. Help on this matter would be greartly appreciated.

I checked for resistence on both hand and thumb and it was good
Checked resistence on both dials and they seem to be good
Is there a seperate voltage regulator for the hand and thumb??
my shop manual isn't much help with where every thing is in respect to the hand and thumb

I just went through this. Both of my grips wern't working. The continuity for all of the components was good so I thought it would be the voltage regulator. I bought a new one and it didn't fix the problem. I went back reversed the incoming connections to the grips and one worked the thumb warmer and the other did not. (my 97 SX does not have a thumb warmer control) Turned out one of the wires going into the left warmer had been rubbed by the brake fluid resivoir and was grounding there. This didn't show up in the continuity test. Moved the brake a bit and covered the wire with some tape and ma hands is cookin again! To make a long story short do a voltage check on the leads coming into the grips and thumb warmer. If your getting power, check all your wire leads to the grips and thumb warmer for wearing.
Your rite the manual was not much help for troubleshooting
Good luck
