Thanks to all who helped with advice, etc on my two machines. My 1989 Ovation and 1994 Vmax 600 did awesome this weekend. Along with my brothers Exciter II (which was rebuilt) and his wife's 1994 Ovation. We rode over 250 miles in the U.P. of Michigan and had a ball. The ovation had new pistons, fiberglass repair, a new drive belt and clutch cleaned. The Vmax had new plastic guides in the secondary and a new bushing. No more drive belts being eaten. The Exciter had new pistons and rings and it ran great too. The 1994 Ovation wasn't touched. The other 3 sleds also had their carbs totally disassembled and cleaned. Nice to know that all the hard work paid off..and again, thanks to this site. Helped alot. Hope I can return the favor. Still have work to do on the VMAX...my mileage is still around 5/6 MPG...not good...
thats great!!!!! most likely that vmax needs some clutch work to lelt the clutches run cooler and less throttle on the trail to mkae her cruise...that will bbring the mileage up.
