Hey everyone,
How do you align the skies and handlbars on a sled? Right now my handlbars are cocked a little to the right and I will be swapping skies and a trailing arm out soon so how do I check for proper alignment after that? Thanks!

Pick up the suspensions catelog for the viper. The book shows how to align and you can get a video also.

Wow nice thanks, I may see what the dealer wants to do it once I'm all done putting it together. Looks like a lot of fudging around and I may lose patience fast!

It's really pretty easy to do. I wouldn't take it to the dealer only to get a half-hearted job.

think of the sled as a woman and alignment as well planned foreplay to give you a good ride later
should this be in the adult side??

Wooow, Viper, think you've been spending toooo much time in the shop by yourself, think there's just a little too much negative camber going on there.

all you need is a 5/8 inch x 48 inch rolled steel round bar. It wil work just like the alignment bar, and cost 4 bucks at Farm and Fleet, or whatever you have. Just be sure to roll the bar to be sure it is straight.

I start with the bar, and then double check somewhat like BTV suggests. (I have a few more primitive methods) If you have a lot of play, pull the skis inward so the play all goes outward from the alignment.
