they aren't too expensive, can probably still get them from the dealer. That should be a great sled once you get 'er going.

That was my dream sled growing up in MI! It was blue even a blue seat! & it was a twin, Only got to ride one once then back to my 1972 Elan

I put the heads back on.. and it runs just fine!! I dont know what im go nna do with it.. keep it and trash it over the summer... use its engine for a go kart, sell it.. or restore it and use it for antique sled shows. ideas?

I'm going to say it's a 1980. I have one just like it. It's a nice little beginner sled. I would clean her up and sell it to someone that needs a sled for their kid. Don't trash it, it has to much life still in it.You might see 50mph.

We still have 2 of those running around. Take a spin next season on your Attak then hop on that for spin. I did that last year with my 97 SX, talk about a laugh. They're fun sleds to throw around. You should be able to get 50 mph easy. I think you can do a 340 big bore too. Keep the mice out and just put new plugs in every year. Good beginner sled for the little kids too.

Don't trash it! Looks like it's pretty clean other than a little belly pan cleanup. If your handy it may be a good little restoration project, ...and you can't beat the ZEN of bringing one of these relics back to life! ;)!

restore it restore it!!!!!! it will be fun to putt around on a few times a year :) if you get tired of it before it is done throw it up for sale here for the price invested plus a little extra and away it goes. you can learn a lot from a little old sled :)

Got 2 very similar. One in great shape with a seized motor, and the other in rough shape with a good motor. Just need time to get the engine swapped. (only got about 15 projects ahead of that one . . .)

Post the VIN for year.

Tuned well they are a snappy little sled that can go almost anywhere.

The seals should be $4 - $8 depending on which one you need. Check the bearings for any rough spots, as it is not worth it to replace seals if the bearings are going to just go.

Go to www.yamaha-motor.com for part numbers and pick list and then either your favorite dealer, or Port Yamaha or any other dealer that is online to order.
