Hi guys i have a 1999 SRX 700 with a bender perfomace package it comes with the bender can, clutches cold air intake, V-force reeds. It has 6000kms. The problem is when the sled is cold it will idle up around 2500 RPMS and then come back down to stock. It does this until it is warm. The other thing i noticed (This is my first power valve sled) is, untill the sled is hot it will drip oil from the gaskets on the power valves. Is this normal? could it be that the gaskets are done and causing the surge? any comments would be great?

It is slightly lean on the idle circuit & this is 100% normal.

take your powervalves apart and clean them. If they are sticking now from being dirty you will gain a lot of performance by cleaning them.

I was told by the orginal owner that the power valves were cleaned before the season by the dealer in our area, and i only put 1500 kms and the idle surge and dripping from the gaskets has been since i got it? Does any one ever noticed oil/gas dripping from the power valves when it is cold? WHEN THE FLAG DROPS THE B???Sh?? Stops

a little bit of minor leaking around where the cables attach to the valves is normal, but anything excessive and you may want to check it more closely.

mine does that too at idle but keeps doing that idle surge +or- 100 rpms even when the engine is warm. its nothing to worry about (Let It Rip!!!)

100 rpms either way isn't a surge, it's a two stroke

What is the stock rpm idle?
I was under the impression that the stock idle was around 2000 rpm and the idle surge is not just 100 rpms it could be 500 to 700 rpms and then it drops down to stock when it is warm and then idle perfect. If you were to listen to the machine you would swear someone is pressing the gas

opening the fuel screws 1/4 turn will eliminate this problem
