so whats stopping me from buying this engine, or any of the engines seen on the yamaha page? i know i hear of triples being more reliable so it would be between the 800 or the 1100, but why can't i get one of these for the sled other than the fact i think i need an engine in order to get on of their engines? will this bolt in fairly easily or do i have to machine a lot of things? any help greatly appreciated, thanks!!!

It will take you all summer and thousands of dollors to get that in your sled. You have to make a crank, design a cooling system, remember it has no water pump, make pipes, as well as make your own motor mounts. After all that is done then all you need to do is dyno it, tune it, reinstall it and then take it out and clutch it. Really want to do all that? That's what Yamaha did on their twins they sno-crossed, those started life as watercraft engines. They paid to have it done and it still took a year......
