Are most of you guysusing the stock SRX rear spring, because i am have a little trouble getting proper top gap on mine, had to really crank up preload, and not sure if i am over spec on preload(will check the MaxPerf specs tonight) i am 225lbs with all gear on, seems ok now but not sure if i would be better with Viper spring, is it stiffer.........Reaper

The srx with Ohlins rear spring is 2.8-4.8 The Viper rear spring is 2.8-4.8 so they are the same rates.I had a stiffer rear spring on mine before and i did have to max out preload on it.I have a 3.3-5.3 rear spring for short travel if you may be interested in it.The stock spring should be good for up around 250 pounds.

2001 srx long

i'm using the viper shocks and springs on the back, had larry @ northland yamaha do some progressive valving and put the hauck front shock angle adjusters on and mine is great love the ride, can plow through the mogules at 30,40,50,60 mph whatever. rides sweet.

Fine tunning the skid

i have the sled almost where i want it now, i have my transfer rods set at stock SRX setting 3 out of 7(seven being most transfer), have almost 50/50 gap, limiters set at about 30mm and FRA at C position.....i just find that if i try to get into the throttle in the corners i get too much transfer, so stupid questions, is the only adjustment needed on the transfer rods, or should i be look at other adjustments on pre-load and limiters......Reaper

What about top speed

I ended up adjusting limiters to 35mm and i think i got the best of both worlds, better ride and good handling, now for the BUT, i have lost considerable top end i am luck if i can get 100mph now, ATLAS what kinds of top speeds have you been getting since you long travel'd, NOTE i also put RipSaw...........Reaper
