Stock Viper is over fueled.
I want to make my (non tippled pipe) Viper leaner. Its just running too rich. Should just move the needle clip down a bit or should I get different jets. Has anyone made these changes on their stock Viper ?
Thanks

I have jetted mine down a size and it made a huge dif. runs a lot snapper and cleaner.. most stock sleds are rich, so that the dealers can save any problems with burn downs,be careful though jetting can end up being catastrophic!!!!!!

Moving the clip down will raise the needle and make it richer.

You just went down a size and you ran the different jet on the PTO side. So this can be done safetly. You left the needle clip in the middle ? I think its rich during the midrange and low end.

you want to raise the needle clip to lean it out in the midrange, this will effectively drop the needles, filling more space in the needle jet allowing less fuel to pass through.
