Hey guys, i recently bought a set of brand new 2001 bombardier Mach 1 triple carbs for my yamaha, anyone here ever do this? what did you do to hook up the throttle and choke cables? What did you do to hook up the stock breather to the carbs? and finally what about jetting?

Come on guys, some of you mus have these carbs installed or know of someone who does.????
I also bought a set of these carbs. I have not put them on yet because I can not find anyone who can tell me what I might need if the needle combo is not right. As far as synchronizing them they should be the same as the stock carbs. I do not think they will fit with the stock steering post. They do clear on my viper column with kickass filters. I am in the process of trying them just to see where I end up. Did you say these were new carbs? If so was it a dealer that might have info on the needles?

Thanks for the reply, one guy emailed me and said you had to richen up the needle jet and main jets. Use bombardier choke and a yamaha cable with a strange old part number, (on order now). The carbs I have were used for 60miles and it was wrote off, it's a 2001 set, I went to the dealer to get a parts list on papaer, it's a start.
I have actually been able to make the stock choke cable work. I also think the stock throttle cable will work with a spacer built to make the length off the bracket on the carbs the same. I am doing this tonight. If you find out what needles are richer let me know. I haven't looked at the nozzles yet. If they are like most other mikuni nozzles they should be easy. It just those goofy needles with different tapers at different locations, they do not have an easily referenced chart to follow.

Could you post some pics of the mods you made to get them to work?
