Which of these two would win in a race on a lake in good conditions, and also on a trail.(mxz being 2000-2002). What about top speed?

:rocks:

Yup tomseal6 is right, I piped my Viper and it was faster than my 800, than I put NOS on my 800 and it was right with my Viper, than I put a BB on my Viper and.... :o|

Now I'm putting the NOS on the Viper and gettin an Attak with a S/C!! ;)!

it would be close... i know that my long tracked 02 srx will beat a 700 and 800 summit. the 700 summit and mxz 700 have the same motors. the 800 was a little closer race against my srx so yea and i think the viper and mxz 700 are pretty close to the same HP i think the viper is lighter though

the viper only has around 115 hp stock and i think a the 700 has just below 125...correct me if i'm wrong

I believe that would be a good race indeed. My bud had an '02 zx-x 700 and it was pretty potent never lined up with him though, without the pipes anway.

raced the father-in-law-to-be. he has an 02 mxz 700 adrenaline. I have 03 viper. only mod on his is a can, I am BONE stock. pretty close, I have more top end for sure.

with the right clutching in the mxz700 it will beat most tripples excpt a wll set up a well set up srx.I spent about 2 years tuning on a couple different mxz's on grass and the snow.It gained 11mph's in a 1/4 and it's alot faster all the way to the top.

I think a stock for stock comparison is a fair way of doing it. after that, it is a matter of who has the most $$$. hell I could make my viper faster than most any sled out there with enough $$$ invested. any sled that has similar power but a better setup would be faster.

I ride with a buddys 02 700mxz for the last 3 years, my viper would walk by on the topend he is stock, i had 1.25 track, lp roller, hc's and straight 43 helix, 1 layer removed. Now i have same setup but with 46/36 helix and we are neck in anything but hard pack then i take him out of the hole and topend if i get a little traction. I had better all round running with the 43. on the grass i beat mxz 800's and the 700's most of the time with the 43 in 660 but they were catching me. these were regular races not just once. and my wifes 04 viper er with ripsaw beat the mxz on the grass 50 percent of the time and i have it on video.
