thumb warmer to hot, need fix

is there any way to put a switch in the thumb warmer circuit so that you can shut it off or is there anything you guys could suggest because when the hand warmers are good my thumb is burning hot

Just tap into the feed wire with an inline on off switch .Any electronics store for about $2.00
