I have a pair of super clamps on the deck I slid into my one ton pick up. They work really well on a high deck becuase you can tighten them from the side without getting up on the deck. They adjust quickly for different skis, even when loading in the cold dark. Generally, I think they work just fine and I have no regrets about buying them. They tend to be a little spendy but you only have to buy them once. Hope this helps.

I also have superclamps and like them a lot. well worth the money.
real easy to use. just be sure you put them in your car / truck (when not in use)because they will disappear quick from an open trailer. they can be locked but only when holding down a set of skis

Out of all of these people on this board, only two people use an aftermarket tie down system?

I think I have the quick clamps... they're the 1/4 turn handles that lock the bar down. If you use them on the same sled every time they're alright... you have to adjust them each time though if you are contstantly switching the sleds they're going on unless they both have the same skis. I will say... sure beats screwing into that little hole that's always full of crap!
(I'm talking about the tie down hole on a trailer for all the perverts out there... LOL)

I have had the quick clamps for 6 yrs or so and love them. They are great for the same sled but like Bigmax said you have to readjust them with diff sleds. I did notice mine are gettting weak right where the handle connects to the round top part of the clamp. Overall they are awesome just wish i coudl clamp and unclamp them more during the winter which meant i was riding more.

Super clamp II are worth every penny. Fiber filled thermo plastic. No rust etc. You won't be sorry.
