Either in the Fall of this year or when the 2007's are introduced in the Spring, I will be getting rid of my Venom. One thought is to try to find a new
still in a crate Viper, or move over to something like a Nytro. A couple of friends have Vipers, and the power difference between my Venom and their Vipers are enough to make me have some regrets, otherwise, a very nice sled.
Or do I move over to 4 strole land?
Thanks,

I made that jump last year from a sx 600 to a Viper and it was a BIG differenece. I wanted a great trail sled that was bullet proof. After seeing the Nytro, the 07 four stroke may be the ticket if I was looking for a new sled.
Go with the newest sled.

A new 4 stroke would be nice. Wait a year or two and pick one up a good used for alot less. You could probably sell your Venoma and get good used viper for a fair price in the mean time. Can you stick some tripple pipes under the hood of the Venom ? Do the reed mod. It all depends how much you want to spend.

Tripples will work, I think, the Venom is an ER. (clearance problems perhaps?) but noise levels are a concern, I ride in WI. and Mi. Noise is a concern in Wi. for sure.
If I could pick up 20-25 reliable HP, I would be happy with what I have. I have received great feedback here on the mods, with tripples probably being the best way to make power, but again if the DNR is having a day...
We'll see what the future holds.

call simons cpr. he has tripples for the venom that are quiet, put it at 124hp and i think they fit with the reverse and electric start. should be as fast as a viper with that power and not attract attention either!2datrl said:Tripples will work, I think, the Venom is an ER. my simons weren't too quiet, but they made some real decent power. Liked my aaen's a lot too.
Were the Aaen's quieter than the CPR's ?
Aaen is 20 minutes away, so that would work out nicely.
I did talk to Jeff at CPR and he did say if I ran into a "picky" dnr officer, I would get a ticket.

I just gave up my viper to my dad this spring... The 06 Attak should be here soon!
