who is going to haydays?!?!

when is haydays? will they be running the apex? if so what model? would love to see that in action

apex will be there, model depends on which the racers have the most luck with.

we'll see how the schedule looks closer to the date, I hope to make it, but won't be racing.

My dad, uncle and I are going. We have gone every year for the past 5 years. Its only about a 5 hour drive from where we live. Its crazy how many ppl are there. Yamaha dominated last year with the RX-1. Its going to be a slaughterhouse when they unleash the new sleds.

you know guys,
i really hope the apex puts yamaha back on top of all the 700cc brackets at hay days thats what im hoping to see. I think the F-7 has been dominating in those classes and putting arctic cat on top of the SRX. i dont think its hoping for too much. may play a crucial part in whether i bust the bank in a year or 2 to buy a new apex. I really want to see yamaha and the apex make those F-7 cats go home early

The Apex doesn't even run in the 700cc class in the drag circuits. Don't get your hopes up too high. The Apex and a race setup F7 have the same HP but the F7 weighs 60 lbs less. It will be tough for the Apex to compete with the F7, can it be done? No one knows yet!

go to yamaha's official site and go to competition and then haydays. They almost won every class.

Lets have a reality check a minute!

Class wins Hay Days 2004:
Arctic Cat: 9
Polaris: 4
Ski Doo: 23
Yamaha: 5

No offense to Yamaha, but Ski Doo clearly dominated. :yam:

Yamaha only posts the classes that they actually placed in. Makes sense if you think about it. It was a great improvement from the previous year but no where near years past.

There are a couple of teams that really have the SkiDoos figured out right now. They spend a lot of time getting the most out those sleds without failing tech. This seems to be an art as well as a science. (I'll leave it at that)

We are hoping that Allen's team gets to that same level with the Yamahas soon. Turbo'ed the 4 strokes easily overcome the weight penalty. Non-turbo'ed they really struggle with it.

Anybody kept up on what Hauck and Fix are doing this year?

Everyone is working hard on the new product. There is good days as well as bad days (the story of life)! August 28-29 will be the first real tell-tale results where everyone will be.

i didnt know they didnt run together. i guess every circuit is different. out here in the wssra they put the RX-1 in the 700cc classes. im sorry for any confusion i just thought thats what every circuit did

in 2003 they did that yes, but the RX-1 was getting it's *** handed to it, so they moved it down.

oddly enough, ISR wanted to put it in the 600 class from the beginning, but yamaha insisted that it go in the 700 class, since it was replacing the SRX, and they didn't want the viper to be in a higher class.
