HOw does the 121 x 1" camoplast predator track perform? Does it hook up well, how is it in powder snow, not too deep, maybe 6-12 inches? will be running a hefty hitting clutch, and was thinking about getting a predator with 196 studs in it. Let me know what everyone thinks. Turk could chime in on this, seems to know his stuff
 
Search for this on here. It has been discussed in great great length.. The most popular opinion on here is the 9830 if you are going to stud, and the ripsaw if you are not. The 9830 is 1" and the ripsaw 1.25. I am waiting for the Hacksaw to come out in Sept-Oct. It is a 1" version of the Ripsaw. Should be the best track out IMO.
 
right, but is the track above worth 315 shipped to my door, with 196 studs?
i have heard from a few members on here, such as junior, that shi track will work fine in powder copnditions, like 6-12 inches of it.
 
That particular track sux in anything except super hard pack.That is the stock track on a 03 RX-1.9830 way better.

Anyways, a guy that rides nothing but powder said the finger tracks are great, so i am gonna stick with it, but again, thanks for the info
 
Finger tracks absolutely suck in powder & loose snow; they are hardpack only! You want paddles on loose snow or deep powder.Any mountain rider or deep snow rider will tell you the same thing!!!! I had a 2.25 finger track on my 98 MSRX. Sux huge in powder. My 2" paddle way better!!!
 
I only ride studless 2" x 159"
