I have a tall friend who is planning on installing a riser that will jack up the steer 9 inches. I guess he needs a brake hose that is 9 inch longer too? Where can you get a longer brake hose for a 2001 MM?

Russell aftermarket brake parts work. They are made for custom motorcycles so they look really trick. The hose part number is R58132S. Check the length of this part number to be sure it will be long enough. You will also need the following; a 10mm, 1.25 thread pitch banjo bolt number R40514, a 10mm banjo male straight chrome R4047c and a 10mm banjo 90 degrees chrome R4051c. The biggest problem is going to be the cables. I have never found a cable extension that works. The Madd cable extensions can be made to work but I beleive they are really made for a skidoo. You can get some extra length out of the stock cables by straightening the 90 degree bend in the throttle cable and then coming over the air box instead of around it. We commonly raise the bars 6" without difficulty but a 9" riser may be ambitious.

Nine inches ???? that sounds a little crazy.

I have a 6 inch riser on my sled and i am 6' 3". How tall is he.

any more than a 6 inch riser witha stock seat and it will not be fun when sitting.

He is 6'5". We talked and he is going for the 6 inch. But the powermadd riser will add 1.25 inches to the 6 inch base due to the pivot thing. He also wants another steer.. (ing post)? which is a little taller. So I think it will be 8 inches in total..
