What year SRX exhangers will work, and what modifications are needed?

any year will work they are the same part number for all years. No mods are needed, just take out the crossover tube that is in there now and put the heat exchanger in. The hardest part is paying the bill for those things.

Yamaha still has the one they sold to update the Viper for 60 bucks right from the dealer. Try this part number...8EK-RHECR-KT-00

Depending on what you need, the SRX exchanger has a much higher capacity than the Yamaha replacement Viper version.
If you are simply looking for additional cooling on a stock Viper the smaller one will work fine and save you a couple of bucks.
