I have heel clickers and SLP pipes. Engagement is 5000 and 9100 OR 9200. How can I get the top down to 8900?

Maybe I'm missin somethin, I don't have heel clickers weights, but if you drop weight in your primary cams you will rev higher not lower.

The engaement is ok at 5000 per SLP spec's. Its just the top end I need to get down to 8900-9000

overrev..
I dont think anyone can drop you a one word answer, but you may consider a few things:
- Many people have had issues with the HC as far as dialing in
- The over rev can be from to light of weight, or belt slip. If the belt&clutches are not nice & hot you WILL slip if you run a 5000 rpm engagement. (that seems high, but I dont know the spec)
- I am not sure of the primary spring you are running (??kit comes with 2 I think), but simply changing the spring may "buy" you a couple hundred r's
Now What I would do- Throw that HC as far as you can and ask around to see what people have had luck with. I try not to reinvent the wheel when at all possible, and that HC kit has given many people headaches.IMO
I run a 700, with bender pipes--run Yam weights, and sold my HC...

I'm not a pro at this but from what I read on hear add more weight to tip. what is it running from a dead stop and how far until it starts climbing? I have 02 viper slp's and ran rivets as per slp's setup ran ran alot better than stock but still overrev, pretty much dead out of hole than would climb quickly to 9100. what I did was put in stock setting 3.5 in 4.5 out and did get alot better it still overrev's but was better all a around and I know this thing when I get it right will be eating other colors for supper did it today, for once in a long time they were talking about my yamaha. was riding with new renegade 800can, pipe, clutched, f/7 stock, f/6 stock just as nasty as the 7 but he was eating another f/6 like nothing. Skidoo 600ho sdi ran better than expected to 1/4 mile than we all walked him f/7 I was even he won I won back and forth for six times (he was alittle upset) doo 800 worked I had him 3 out of four times but all close races even with f/6 . f/6 ran f/7 twice and within 1/2 mile run 2 sled lenght difference my yamaha won out more times than all and no even if I have smile on my face now I know this thing is only going to get better because of my overrev might go with heavier weights or tac weld spots and use a gram scale to weigh all three has anyone done this let me know? all colors raced at same time except for few races f/7 and myself, f/6 and f/7 don,t be scared if they call you out and remember f/6 will even surprise you won today but had perfect conditions next time maybe different but I don't think so going to pick my races 0 to 15* lake and a little snow.
