if i put 136" rails in my 121" viper could i use the 136" rails only and still use my viper w arm shocks and same bolt holes in the tunnel? or would i have to change the complete susp.?

To my knowledge, all of the conversions just lengthen the rails and do nothing else.

i have a 2000 mountain lite 500 (phazer) and i can take the rails off of it for my viper. i could use the whole susp. but it is worn out and needs new shocks, shafts and bushings. so it would be easier if i could just use the viper susp. and ml rails(which are 136") i dont think they made the ML 500 in the states. every time i called to get perf. parts for it in the state they didnt know what i was talkin about.

I have done this swap. You can transfer all of your Viper skid pieces to the 136" rails. The front arm will still bolt to the original mounts in the tunnel. The rear and center mounting points in the tunnel will need to be moved 7.5 inches back from the short track mounting position. you will need to use 97-99 mountain max/venture/phazer mtn lite rear drop bracket's, rear outer tunnel braces, (used for rear drop bracket mounting bolts).
For the center mount inner tunnel brace, you can either relocate the stock short track brace, and grind approx 1/8" off the heat exchanger vertical ridge. Or use Mountain Max center mount braces
The rear mount cross shaft and outer spacer sleeve's will either need to be shortened, or use a mountain max shaft and spacer's. This is because the MM rear drop brackets step in from the tunnel. The Viper cross shaft (aluminum) is lighter then the MM shaft (steel). So I had the Viper shaft and spacer's shortened at a local machine shop.
If you look at the on line part's fiche for a 97-99 mountain max, you can see the bracket's, etc that I am refering to.

Paul, was gonna answer onthe other thread but will do it here.Yes, you will need to drop the center shaft. I moved mine the same as the lowest hole's total drop on my stock brackets. If you were using stockers it would be easier on ya' man, HAHAHAHAHA!

Stock won't get me low enough. At stock mounting the 1.5 rubs the tunnel at the rear top wheels. So 1 inch drop still doesn't move much snow. I am going to drop the center and rear 3 inches, and reset the whole suspension. I was told by a Mtn Co they like to drop 5 to 6 inches on there kits. 3 works perfect for the center, it puts the bolt right throug the hole in the tunnel cooler, and the rear outside mount plate works for it. I'll see what happens. Paul
