Will a vector stretched out to a 144" be too tippy on the trail with the moutain ski stance with a 144" track?

sway bar or no sway bar? Either way you will definately be a lot more tippy on trails with the mountain stance, the increased length should help somewhat though. Without a sway bar it might be a real bear.

I have a 42" on the Viper without a sway bar. I took the sway bar off last year, and wish I would have done it sooner! Works well on or off the trail, allows the ski's to act independently and is more stable in the rough stuff.
With Simmon's ski's I didn't notice any more tippyness. With the Yamaha mountain ski it is a little more tippy on the trails, because they are so aggressive. If you have a 38" ski stance, it will handle better with a sway bar.
Nice thing about Yamaha's, you can take one of the "dog bones" out (to disconnect the sway bar), and take er for a spin. If you like how it handles, take the bar out, to save a few pounds. If not, its easy to put the dog bone back in!

I have been riding the trails necessary to get to the powder since 1996. Sled came with a 38" stance and started with a 136" track that was quickly changed to a 151". Sway bar went really early. Handle bars are up 6" and I'm using a Boss high seat. Beleive me, the sled's ability to handle high speed trails is severly compromised. It seems that everything I did to make it work better in the deep snow took away from everything a sled should do on a high speed trail.

Been der dun it. You can,t corner on trails with no sway bar. The narrow ski stance with the sway bar left on works well. Do not remove sway bar for trail riding.

I have switched to a thicker sway bar and increased my ski stance to 41", and this is because we rarely have any powder snow except during the month of May. There are no trails to speak of, but I have noticed a big difference in the tippiness. However, that may also be because I increased the links by ordering from Mountain Performance. I have not had the chance to test it out as the sea ice is now too dangerous.
