I don't know if I'm posting this thread in the right spot or not.... but anyway here it goes.
I have a 95 Phazer II and I was wondering if the hydraulic brake assembly from a newer yamaha would fit my sled. I was thinking about removing the cable brake caliper and replacing it with a hydraulic one. Anyone know if this will work or not?

the last few years of enticer II had hyd brakes and where set up very similar to the pazers and exciters from the early 90's.
the 92-97 ones had cable brakes. i know cause i have a 97 and i think it was the last year of cable brakes on them.

enticer II (also known as et410) was availible (at least in canada) from 1992-2001. it is a utility/trail sled according to yamaha.
i know when i bought my 97 the 99(i think been awhile) was on the floor with factory installed hydraulic brakes. i liked the coulour of the 97 better. the hyd brakes was the only upgrade of any kind on this sled by yamaha during this time.
heck they made et400t and et400t/r till 91 ("t" is for trapper). the excell series of sleds are just gussied up enticers. im more familar with the trappers cause that was what my dad and my uncles where into. i do remeber seeing some short track enticers from the mid 80's still floating around.

So far the enticer sounds like the best bet... i'm sure there's a few scrapped here in Newfoundland somewhere... haha... I was hoping the new yamaha/phazer hydraulic brake would fit though.
here is what the brake looks like if it helps.

looks pretty close to me. might have to make a spacer to shim it out some as the et410 has reverse on it stock so the spacing is a little further out.
et410 stops at 95 on the link to this site so you might have to look up the parts on the canadian fiche. if you find a chain case for et410 lemme know as they are like gold around here and we have a project sled that could use reverse in its final form.
