Hey guys. I wanted to know what you thought of the stud tear out on this track. I just bought it from another Totallyamaha member. It tore in a good spot, and I don't know if I would need to repair it. It is off an RX-1 and will be going on a 00 Phazer that will not be ridden hard. What do you guys think? Can I let it go the way it is?

Run it! Wont cause any problems on a phazer. I've ran uglier looks tracks on modded 700's. ===SRXSRULE===

Ah, you got it. Thank goodness. I was beginning to wonder about our illustrious postal service. I guess I'll still keep them as my priority shipper.

Take a red hot piece of metal or a soildering(sp) iron to it and melt the edges over. It will help it from ripping any more. Maxdlx

Thanks guys. That's what I wanted to hear. I knew it had a pullout when I bought it, but I just figured I would have it repaired if I had to. It's much cheaper this way!! Thanks again Ecopter...You gave me a great deal!! Hopefully I can help you out with something in the future...

There is actually a company that can perform repairs of this type. There are many dealers across the US and Canada. I've had my track repaired with excellent results. They provide a warranty with their repairs as well. The company is Carroll Tech. Check it out at www.carrolltech.com.

is the track repair pricy?I have a ripsaw with about 400 miles on it in with about 10 lugs torn off.

The track repair is quite resonably priced. The can even perform the repair with the track still on the machine. You would have to contact the dealer but I think the price is somewhere around $100.00. Check the website out.
