Getting ready to stud the Vector. Who has the best buy on Extreme Max Studs? Thinking 1.52"

right now shadetree. 20% off their own brand with a 2 year warranty. btw they are extreme max. 144 for less than $100 with nuts. i would go with 1.40" studs though. 1.52" seems a bit on the long side for a ripsaw.

I want 3/8" past the tip of the lug, hence 1.52" studs. Checked out Shade Tree, and also found out that the 20% was not on clearance items. The Red Tips sound like a good deal, has anyone ever used them? Or any idea who makes them?

I could be wrong but I believe that the Red Tips, Extreme Max, Two-Stroke Pilots and the Shadetree brand are all the same stud just marketed under different names. Last season those styles all came out with new 1" head studs to go along with the 15/16" head studs they have had out the last couple years. If your studding a track with over 1" lug height I would highly recommend spending the extra dough for the newer 1" head style stud. Another thing we recommend is that on any of those style stainless studs over 1.40" use the newer big aluminum nuts that are offered as they definitely help prevent the stud from bending. We sell the Extreme Max line of studs and backers so if you have any questions feel free to give me a call. Thanks
