I have tried every kind of plastic backer just about on snow,if you ride aggressive I wouldn't use anything but aluminum.

my buddy ran them on his SRX, all fast trac studs backers and nuts and the only problem he had with the backers is that they faded in color overtime, he had yellow. Otherwise they worked great for him, and he rides it too.
I used plastic on my SRX and they were awesome. I only broke one during the whole time I had the sled. I'm not sure what brand they were - I got them from Rich motor sports.

I used airlite backers last season on my little one lunger racers. Although I have much less horse power than you guys, the nut/backer compo held up with no issues
Stud and backer have to be from same make. All studs have differant head shapes .lost alot till i figured this out. got 2500 miles on 244

I had saber studs with saber plastic backers on my improved stock mach z.I ride real agressive and i only lost 1 or 2 backers in 3400 miles. They do fade and seem to twist a bit.

I had good luck with plastic backers drag racing just not trail.I even bend alot of aluminum backers maybe it's just the riding style.

yea i agree with you ryan, i bend more aluminum backers than my buddy broke plastic backers, and the plastic is much lighter

Think about it this way
I'd rather break a plastic backer and loose a stud, than pull an aluminumn backer or stud throught the track. I ran them from Rich and had no problems. Maxdlx
