02 Viper has had problems starting after sitting for the summer. The first year had to dump fuel in the spark plug hole to get it running, dealer found no problems. This year the sled will not start at all, it has spark, fuel and nothing in the can (like a rats nest). Anyone had the same problem and a good fix?

Is the Gas fresh? Old gas (while detrimental to the engine) makes an engine harder to start.

You may have a carb gummed up.

Take the top of the airbox off and spray some carb cleaner or fogging oil (the kind that is combustible) in the throat of each carb. If this doesnt get it running, post back with more details of your storage procedures, etc...

Sounds like old gas to me.
I would remove all old gas clean the carbs out well.
Pull them off take them apart and clean all parts.
Put new gas and try it out.

A squirt of starting fluid and removing the gas cap popped her right off . Don't really know whats going on, dealer says bad gas but hard for me to believe. Runs fine now. Thanks
