Hi
I'm looking for a 2002 srx here in norway. They are way hard to come over, but I found one. The problem is, this thing has 1370 miles (2200 km) (supposedly) and the previous owner was honest enough to tell that it has seized at least once (maybe twice) despite of the dcs. I think he "boiled" it when hauling a sleigh in low snow conditions. I probably shouldn't buy this sled?

what price is he asking.
That would be the determining factor for me. If the price was right and you could rebuild it properly if it goes again then I would not worry.
The SRX is a great machine and usually very reliable.

He has traded it in for an AC now and the srx is at the AC shop. I'll have to hear the price. I believe it will be 65000 NOK, as the other 2002 srx's I've seen in fall last year but haven't been able to buy..

If he traded it in and it's at a cat shop there is probaly something wrong.

GET it out of the cat shop... I blew a piston in mine once. rebuilt it and it is going strong over 4500kms on that cylinder and nothing is wrong with it. I guess that little warning on the hood saying something about using only premium gas is true.
