Hi Guys,
does anybody know if you can stud a 1.25" ripsaw track on a 1998 SRX 700? IF SO IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD CHANGE BEFORE I PUT THE STUDs ON(ie. change the track drive to a smaller size and 1 less tooth, or whatever else is possible to make this work). Just don't want to see yellow snow behind me. I will be putting 192 studs on, if this is possible to work . i've never studded a sled and any tips would be helpful on what to use( protectors, best stud to use, backers and etc.) ALSO THE BEST CLUTCH KIT TO GO WITH THE STUDS
Thanks
JP

Yes....you will have to change drivers, the stud to use are 1.325 Woody's or 1.375 Stud Boy. There is a NEW track out this year called a Hack Saw it has got the same profile as the Rip Saw but only 1.00 high. If you need stud or Tracks I can Help. Send me a P.M.

i have a nice set of oem 8 tooth drivers if your interested.
you can also shave the track...but I would stick to the driver change.

thanks guys for the info,
i won't be needing a track or drivers( thanks for the offers, shipping to canada is too expensive) used the rip saw last year and felt it was too dangerous to ride the trails with the power behind the srx. studs only make sense.
would anybody know the oem part number for the 8 tooth driver change?also wondering what type of washer to use, the guys i ride with say the aluminum ones crack and come off, would plastic be any better?
thanks

by washer do you mean stud backer? if you do then aluminum double and round single are the best.
