want to change most of the plastic bushings to brass. has anyone done this and if so where can i get them. i can get some locally but they dont have the grooves in them to hold grease. any info would be great.

i always used the plastic ones that come with the sled, when new you can shim them snug with thin layers of tin, use grease fittings at all points and they never need replacing again. for the front shock i install bearings from a rear shock into them. they are never loose again.

I don’t think brass can handle the loads without fracturing. The coefficient of friction on the plastic is probably lower than the brass, especially if you keep it lubricated.
