I need a new track for this winter. Right now I have a 1" with 192 studs. I really like the studs for ice and trails, but I ride ditches mostly and some powder also. I'm looking for a 1.5"(or so) track. I found these on E-bay.

What do you guys think of these tracks??? Feel free to reply if you know of anything better.
Can I use a 1.5" track on a stock SRX with tunnel protectors???......or will I need 8 tooth drivers?

I do ride trails and lakes sometimes also, so I want a track that is durable so that I don't have paddles breaking off every other day.

Can I use 9 tooth drivers with a 1.5" track(every 3rd clipped) if I remove the tunnel protectors???? The tunnel protectors are just welded onto the tunnel aren't they?? Do I just grind off the welds???

i think you can use 9 tooth if you remove the heat exchanger and tunnel protectors. with 8 tooth just the tunnel protectors need to be removed.

Yes you can use 9 tooth's with a 1.5", after the front exchanger and tunnel protector's are removed. Actually you can go all the way up to 1.75" with 9 tooths. However it would to tall for your intended usage.
The Camo 3rd clipped 1.5" is a good track, nice and light. I've used both 121" and 136" version's with good results.

My sled trenches whenever I ride in the powder though....but on the trails and ice it sure is nice to be able to hook up instantly when I punch the gas.
How do you like your 1.5" track cacsrx?? Does it float pretty well in the powder?? Maybe I'm just expecting too much out of a 121" SRX.
I'll let you have 1st dibs on the track when I am ready to sell it.

No matter what track U get it a 121 is only going to do so much in powder. Mine will trench like a chainsaw with enough throttle.
