I need to replace the steering scissor bushings in a 84 Phazer and a 87 Inviter. Any tips? Tools needed? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have the new Yamaha bushings to install.
Thank You, Tom and Joe in northern Michigan.

I just did mine today on the Exciter.
I however used an aftermarket shim kit...
On an older sled, the bolts MAY be siezed, new ones may be in order. Very easy job.
Good luck!

Shim Kit
It isnt much of a job. I have done it a couple times.
If you need new shims, I think I have 1 or 2 sets I would sell.
