some one must have a good strong clutch setup for stock viper?

i have heavy hitters i used with my pipes, now running stock,i have access to alot of other weights also, anyone have any good ideas for me to try, never tryed this sled stock, i know it sucked with the stock clutching, thus went to pipes right away.but i know there must be a better combo guys are running, although i do not want to run heelclickers
 
Lyle, 8dn -20,s from a 00-02 SRX work great as do the hh,s. We have some quick stockers here that are running those weights. Get em to pull 84-8600 rpm & it won,t get any better. Get the rpm,s close with just tuning the primary then play with helix,s & springs to see if you can get a little more out of it.
 
hey turk, will i see you at haydays?R u still running the turbo rx?i have some magnesiam stuff coming back from haydays with me, reverse case and inner case you might be interested in, but really how much weight can that save?Doyou have a hh setup for me to start with, i am bored and want to get stuff setup,puttin in a monoshock skid in it when i get back from haydays and i am hopin it will help me with a hole shot, put on ohlins also.sold my pipes off due to gas prices and to help cover cost of skid and ohlins,i am sure i will be findin another set if i cant get this stocker to ppull decent,i havnt seen it but will a stocker be competative with anyhthing out there besides 600 cc stuff? thanks turk
 
I will be staying at Sleep Inn in Brooklyn Park with ski-doo buds. Anyway for Viper with HH,s start here
1/4" allen in heel
3?8" bolt & thick washer inner hole
3/8" steel bolt & thin washer outer.
Your probably gonna need a green or silver secondary spring & maybe look for a 51/43 helix. The RX-1 helix works well.
 
3/8 bolt in 1st and 3/8 steel bolt,are they both steel or ???? i am cofused,, thanks turk, oh and also, what primary are you using, mine was a cpr kit so came with a spring with no paint, but i like a little more engagement, although stock iam not sure its needed, probably has enough grunt on the bottom to pull my fat hinie

Lyle....use the 3/8 steel in both holes & your aftermarket spring to raise engagement. Might take some fine tuning but it will be close.Don,t gear down...stock gearing is fine even for a slightly larger framed guy.

What helix and spring is recommended with this set up?
