Just wonder the best locations to check out near Land O'Lakes.

Leaving my sleds in Land O' lakes with friends and driving back and forth to someplace to lodge.

I have information on Gateway Lodge...and opinions on that???

Any feedback, thanks!

I have been there and really liked it.. I don't remember how pricing compared, but clean and neat and rustic atmosphere.. I would reccommend it. We will be making one trip there this year for sure. Right on the trail too..

Thanks, I looked at the website. Rustic is good, Old mildowwwwweeeee smelling rooms with 50's bedding isnt. Well that would be okay if I was going alone, cus Id ride 24/7. But since the wife is going I better find a little nicer place!

Seemed to be a really nice place when my partner and I rode out of there but we were like you riding 24/7. We did our first 500 miler out of the Gateway, the track on his MXZ 670 started throwing chunks from stud damage at about the 450 mark. We limped it on into the parking lot at 503 miles, got up the next morning, changed it out in the parking lot then rode another 330 miles that day. Yeah, he had a spare track along because he knew it 'might' let go.

Ah the good old days, haven't done a 500 miler since, hmmm, last January.

Well im taking the kids along also. Wife doesnt ride much, but we will have my buddy his wife and kids as well. I wont be able to get a 500 miler anytime that week, but thats fine...because I will have a few miles put on elsewhere if you know what I mean ;)!

500 miles...damn thats alot, the most Ive had been able to put on was 425.

Thats a bad feeling when you have a track, or even a drive belt starting to go and no spare...miles from home. Been there, remember when we were kids and we couldnt afford having a spare belt and that happen often :o|

Thanks!
