VMax 600 XTC DLX

I have some trouble with my 600 Twin overheating, and burning up, it is a '97, i was thinking of puttin on a rear heat exchanger from a '96 VMax. Is it able to be done compatibility wise? will the lines run into the rear heat exchanger.
and will the engine run too cool this way?

What kind of conditions were you running in?

normal riding conditions, between -30 and 20 degrees.......

the trails have a slight powder coating...kinda like powdered sugar.....
