i just got a new 1.25 ripsaw track for my 2002 viper.Q are there any issues on installing it. i have been told that the tunnel protectors may have to be removed to stop it from rubbing on botteming out on hard bumps. thnks :yam:

I ran 8 tooth drivers for stud clearance on the front exchangers and left the rest alone, but I know of a few people that ran unstudded stock with no issues but will probably have to keep tabs on the track tension or you will slap a bit.
 
i ran one for one trip with all protectors in and you had to keep the track to tight or else it would rub. Ice would build up and hold on the tunnel and heat exchangers. if i was you and you are not studding take them out. no issues on three different vipers with the same setup. Make sure to put little pieces of duct tape or caulking on the tunnel after you drill out the rivets. helps keeping water and ice from building up.
 
instead of removing anything or installing new drivers you can notch the track about 1/8"-1/4" only in the cleat path. this is what i done with my 03' viper. when i installed the ripsaw on mine it rubbed like everyone is sayin' , but instead of changing anything i cut the track, and its so little you will never notice a difference in traction. and it didnt ever rub, and i used to run the track really loose. ;)!

This way everything can stay stock.
