I have a 99 srx, with the following done to it:
Clutched from SRXSPEC
Mild Porting
Head work/redone squish
Skidoo BM edition rev track
Polaris INDY idler wheels

What should I do with 500.00? I am not really into apperance mods, as I am more performance oriented. Any help would be appreciated

Get ahold of 4fighter on the 4 stroke side and see if the ohlins clicker he has will work for your rear shock, then just find a good Long travel center, some longer limiter straps, and have a long travel suspension for under 350 bucks. Maxdlx

max, thanks for the suggestion, but i think teh stocekr suspensino will work fine for me once i get it setup per your instructions. Thanks for that by the way. I was thinkgin of getting a motor from carl on here, still might do that

Get a hold of mrviper and have him port and polish your jugs, that will make it scoot. maxdlx

i'm gonna go one farther with what maxdlx said and tell you to find you an updated viper skid (i think bethviper might have one, not sure, thought someone did) it will give you more travel than the srx, and it will have a way better ride. but if your looking for something other than that, you could get you a little red button ;) !!! don't get vforce or boysen yet unless your gonna bore it out and stuff, but you could look into some carbon fiber reeds if yours are about getting there. you could get your carbs bored out to i believe its 35.5mm which is good for top end but will still keep your bottom end and those i believe run around $350 for all 3. someone correct me if i'm wrong. you could get an aftermarket secondary like team or hc-x to free up some lost horsepower, i don't know how much more there is to free up after spec's clutching if any. don't get pod filters unless your gonna want to play around with the carbs everyday. you could lose some weight by getting some lighter trailing arms ($450) or a new boss high rise seat to lose weight and seat you up higher. You could get some Works tripple rate shocks for the front and possibly squeeze in some longer viper radius rods to accomodate. Or you could just go all out and find some ohlins that are new or just revalved. if you wanna lose weight but sacrifice 2-3 hp you could get a aftermarket can quite cheap if used. you could throw some studs on your track and get the longer nuts so that they don't bend on the tall lugged tracks. you could fix up your steering with a bar riser, hand guards, and some sort of grip on the end of the bars. if you go kinda high you might need the mm cables for it to work like stock (they're longer). You could get bender's srx cold air intake kit. pretty much theres a lot you could do. thats all i got... one last thing, if your really having trouble you can always pm me for my address to send the money to and i'd be glad to take it off your hands if its a big problem... ;):D :Moon:

that stock suspension will beat you up ditch banging just my 2 cents

the ohlins shock I told him about is a LT clicker, so it would be better than a stock viper skid, and he has ohlins clickers on the front already. I do agree with the roller secondary, but would just get an RR3 or a advatage, same thing I think. You can find them used for 100 bucks. maxdlx

ditch banged it last year, with no ill effects, and it wasnt even set up. Alright, now sorry for not posting everything i have, more and more stuff keeps coming to memory after posts. I already have studs, as far as clutching goes, its good i think, allen hooked me up, and doubt there is much more to be picked up there. I have already ported the cylinders and polished them. Think thats it for now. oh, and i will be keeping the money, lol. I might just end up buying a spare 700 motor, that soudns like the best bet right now, and big bore that thing at a later date....

How about you send it to the snow Gods so we can ride 13 and 30 all winter this year, like from Nov1 till april 1 LOL Maxdlx

Well, if you gave it more power, and then you clutched it, then what you need is traction. Get a good track under that thing and some hardware.................................................................

down the actual highway? or in the middle, the median? cause 30 is right here by my house, i livce right off edgewood road, its prolly 100 yards from me

He already has the Blair Morgan edition snowcross track, should be a good track. 8 tooth drivers and some long studs?

engine isnt a go anymore....not sure what i will do, i gotta get a set of radius rods, but think Juior has a set for me. I will need to get new studs before next year, but think i will pick them up at haydays next year, as they are dirt cheap there. The track alrady has 144 studs in it, they are just getting worn.

they groom the ditches east on 30 and north on 13. i have rode them before they are nice. You can ride 30 all the way to Clinton and back. Maxdlx
