ok is it a hassle to do the transfer rod mod? my dad said it would be a pain and he would rather have me buy some aftermarket ones? what do you guys think... is it really a hassle to weld the thread on the rod and get the right nut for it?

There are 2 or 3 different brands out there. Basically they all do the same thing. I have benders on mine and I'm happy with the setup. Depending on where you're riding, it really does take just a minute to adjust.
I used to make all these homemade things too, but now tend to spend a couple bucks on something that works instead of getting a so/so part that works some of the time.

transfer rods
I've got a set of Fett Brothers for a Pro-Action rear suspension if you're interested. They are on my 99 Mtn Max right now but I'm going to a 151 and will be taking off the transfer rods. They will fit all 97-06 except for a couple models. See the link for pictures.

I live in Granite Falls, MN and will take $65 shipped to you in Lino Lakes.

I wasn't stating that Bender's are the best and the others aren't any good.Just stating i have benders like them and look good also.

i have the original maxx perf quick rods, yeah i have to carry wrenches but hey the work great.i have also read the certain bender rods limit transfer.oh also i will mention the fact that with transfer rods you dio get a little plusher ride as you go up with weight transfer, but the best part is the g's you feel when your dangling the skis, now thats wht im talking about. The 3 best investment you could do for your sx the way it sits now....
1.stud the track i beleive your lug size is a mere 3/4"
2.transfer rods
3.if you havent lost the steel skis already,do it
oh and 1 other thing, get the ski stoppers with (s) on them get a set for a mm/srx thease help with ski darting,as the keep the ski tilted back more and will not wear the skags un evenly.
and you will have to do the suspension set-in/set up,all the info is right in the tech section on the main ty site

putting a set of t-rods on your yammy is like putting slicks on my drag car.all i can say is 2 words "SEE YA"

Really? do you got em to minimum transfer or maximum cuz i really wanna make my sled quick!$! gotta beat some peeps draggin

it will hook up better, plus it can be adjusted for specific riding comditions.call maxx perf or pioneer perf. the will fill you in on the rods.

at maxx transfer it will pull the skis off the ground,i have mine set at 3-4 for the trails, and she carves.you cant run the sled at maxx transfer you woll break stuff in the suspension, and not be able to steer it very well on the trails.

IMHO...I've had all of them...Maxximum's are best...the only one i'd stay clear of ARE the Bender Ts3's......no good period...and that's after two sets...
